Braised Beef recipe from Canadian Living Magazine
1 1/2 cans of jellied cranberry sauce
1 1/2 envelopes of onion soup mix
3 cloves of garlic minced
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 - single brisket pot roast (about 4 lbs or 2 kgs)
Step 1) In a pan just large enough to hold the pot roast, whisk together the
sauce, soup mix, garlic, water, cayenne pepper.
Step 2) Add beef brisket and spoon cranberry mixture over the top. Cover with
plastic and refrigerate for 12 hours or up to 24 hours.
Step 3) Cover pan with foil or lid, cook at 325 F basting every 30 minutes for
about 4 hours or until the brisket is fall-apart tender.
